At WHIZard Academy, we use a multi-sensory approach to learning. This method has a long history of research going back to 1943 that demonstrates that multi-sensory learning, works and it works very well.

Why do we use this approach, because it works and because it is the natural way in which people learn. Imagine your son or daughter goes to a museum, they will see, hear and read about history and other parts of the world. This is why kids love museums, because they are designed for natural learning. At WHIZard Academy, we use this natural learning approach to help make learning easy and fun, the way learning is suppose to be.

Our approach is one-on-one with each student, as they learn they not only learn a subject matter but they learn to enjoy learning again and develop the skills that will help them each year in school. That’s why we say, WHIZard Academy is tutoring that works. We know this because of the many testimonials of kids who come to us. And because the learning style we use is natural, it doesn’t matter what your cultural background is or what your level of English is, multi-sensory learning is natural, so it is easy for anyone to jump and start learning.

Here are a few kids who have come to us and what they say:

Coming to WHIZard Academy was very fun and the tutors were encouraging. They were able to keep me interested in the stuff I was learning. It was very nice to be able to go at my own pace and it gave me something good to do almost every week.

James L.

9 June 2010
Grade 11, Eden Prairie High School

My experience at WHIZard Academy has been great. I have learned many new writing techniques and have improved my grammar. The stories given out to read were excellent and ironic. The tutors were kind and helpful and answered all my questions. Every question I had was thoroughly explained and I understood my assignments much better. WHIZard Academy has helped me with my writing and grammar. The new knowledge that I have gained will help me down the road.

Filipp

29 May 2010
Grade 8, Eagle Ridge Academy, Eden Prairie, MN

Fun and learning, yes, it can be. Give you child the gift of enjoying learning, stop in to WHIZard Academy and talk to us today!

This time of year, many kids are busy enjoying not being in school. But schools don’t rest during the summer, case in point, our local school district where our office is located, is busy in the middle of a debate about how to redraw the schools lines. K-5 or K-6, those are big changes if those impact your child.

The nice thing about the summer is that at Whizard Academy, we can work with your schedule at all normal hours. Since kids are out of school in the summer, they can come to our center to learn new subjects. Here’s the thing… during the school year, kids and parents are very busy, but in the summer, many kids have free time. What’s the best way to help your child gain the edge for the next school year, a program at Whizard Academy. With August coming up, it will be a great time to help your child get a jump on next school year, then carry the program into the first month or two to ensure they are on track.

This actually helps to save you time, when your child is more confident and better prepared for the school year, they don’t need to spend so much time just staying above water, they can really excel and help free up time for you as well. So stop in and give us a call to learn how we can help you.
